Location
Helene Springs is located in the Seminole State Forest about 1 mile southeast of Cassia. From the intersection at State Road (SR) 44, go east on SR 44 through Cassia to Brantley Branch Road (there is a sign for the state forest on the right). Turn east on Brantley Branch Road, and go about one-half mile to the Seminole State Forest parking lot. Follow Atula Road for 1.1 miles to a T intersection, and go left. Go another 0.4 miles to the riding trail on the right. Continue on the riding trail 0.2 miles to a walking path on the right. Following the walking path to the edge of the woods. Use a global positioning system (GPS) with the coordinates below to locate the spring. Access and fee information can be obtained at the Seminole State Forest south entrance.

Helene Spring pool and run
Description
Helene Spring is a fourth-magnitude spring with a single pool and a long spring run to Sulphur Run. Palm, oak, and pine trees are common in the area around the spring and run. The spring pool is rimmed with limestone rock and the single vent is located on the bottom of the pool.
Discharge
Discharge from Helene Spring was measured by St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) from 2008–2010. The mean and median discharges for this period are 1.27 cfs and 1.36 cfs, respectively (see the table below).
Water quality
SJRWMD has not sampled Helene Spring for water quality.
