About the District
Robin Hudson
Director, Office of Human Resources
As director of the Office of Human Resources, Robin Hudson is responsible for planning, organizing and managing human resource programs of the District, including recruiting and training employees, and ensuring employees receive fair pay and benefits. In addition, office staff ensure that the agency follows all employment laws and the employer and the employee’s rights are protected under the many labor laws.
Hudson joined the District’s Office of Human Resources in 1989 as a Personnel Specialist, her first professional position. She found human resources work to be interesting, challenging and rewarding. At a time when the District was growing, there were many opportunities for career growth. Hudson took advantage of the opportunity and sought to improve her knowledge and skills in human resources by taking on progressively responsible work.
A member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Hudson holds certification as a Senior Professional in human resources. She received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Florida.
Hudson’s favorite areas of work are position classification and pay, and employee relations. “The greatest satisfaction comes from resolving issues for employees when the resolution presents a win-win for all involved,” she says.
