Robert Christianson
Director, Division of Operations and Land Resources
Robert Christianson is the director of the Division of Operations and Land Resources at the St. Johns River Water Management District, where he has worked since 1990.
As director, Christianson oversees all real estate, land management, facilities planning, and building and maintenance, as well as all water management project operations and maintenance activities.
Christianson enjoys the challenge of solving complex water management problems that require collaboration among multiple parties and involve intricate legal, engineering and economic issues. His creativity and flexibility have led to modernization of numerous District functions and programs.
Prior to joining the District, Christianson worked in wetlands permitting, land management planning, local government coordination and geographic information system (GIS) modeling.
Christianson earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Florida (UF) and holds a Master’s degree in environmental sciences from UF.
