Ann Meuse
Director, Office of Finance and Administration
Ann Meuse is the director of the Office of Finance and Administration and has been with the District since 2003.
The office is responsible for reporting on the money and assets of the District and is also charged with safeguarding the assets of the District through overseeing the warehouse operations, tagging and tracking fixed assets and safeguarding the records of the District through the District Clerk’s office. Finance office staff also have other administrative duties, such as procurement of goods and services, the Districts’ credit card program, and operation of the switchboard and receptionist area.
Meuse has been a certified public accountant in the state of Florida for more than 30 years and prior to joining the District, Meuse served as the finance director for four cities (city of Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville, where she was also the comptroller). She started her career in public accounting at KPMG (an international accounting firm.)
Meuse received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Florida (UNF) and earned a Master’s degree in accountancy from UNF. She is a specialist in government finance. She is a member of FICPA (Florida Institute of CPAs), AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), FGFOA (Florida Government Finance Officers Association), and is past president of St. Augustine Sunrise Rotary.
