About the District
District water management plan
The District Water Management Plan (DWMP) is the District’s long-range strategic planning and policy document. It addresses the District’s four areas of responsibility — water supply, water quality, flood protection, and natural systems. For each area, policies, issues, strategies, tasks and performance measures are included.
The DWMP is intended to be viewed online, as it contains numerous links to websites to provide the user access to a wide array of documents, resources and other reference materials. To view or download and print the 2005 DWMP, click on the link below.
Progress reports
Annual progress reports evaluate progress made in implementing the DWMP, using a set of performance measures that were cooperatively developed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the five water management districts, and the Executive Office of the Governor (EOG). The measures in these reports are in addition to efficiency measures reported to the EOG and the state legislature in the Standard Format Tentative Budget Submission report.
These reports were prepared to report the District’s progress in implementing the DWMP that was completed in May 2000.
